Utah is no longer just a state to hunt elk. It may be THE STATE. Utah has been managing its limited entry units for trophy class bulls and it is paying off, with 350 type Bulls in every managed unit, with some units producing 370-400" bulls.

These hunts take place during the peak of the rut when these bulls are going nuts. These hunts are truly awesome! Our guides are some of the finest in the west; they will consistently find and harvest some of the biggest bulls in the west every year. Great opportunities exist for you in Utah to hunt giant bulls whether that is with a rifle, bow, or black powder.

X-treme Outfitters has access to guaranteed permits, through landowner tags as well as conservation permits, that are tax deductible. These hunts are also available through the state draw.

Trophy mule deer are probably the most sought after big game trophy in North America. True trophy class bucks are tough to find and tougher to harvest.

Like our elk hunts, we hunt Utah’s limited entry units. All these units will produce bucks scoring 170 B&C, with the better units producing 190 + type bucks. With the 7-year drought over we are expecting some great bucks to come out of these units.

X-treme wild sheep guides are made up of some of the very best sheep guides in the industry! They are Brandon Barney, Greg Bird, Brett Caldwell, Randy Johnson, Troy Justensen, and Bill Mammales. With their combined experience they have taken over 150 rams.

We specialize in fulfilling your grand slam dreams! We hunt both the desert and rocky mountain bighorns. Utah has very good desert sheep hunting for good mature rams that will average over 8 years old. Our hunters have taken 3 of the top desert bighorns, including the current Utah state record at 174 2/8. Utah has excellent rocky mountain bighorns; all of our hunters have taken mature rams scoring between 170 to 181 B&C. These hunts will take you into some of the most wonderful country you will ever experience. Some units are extremely remote, rugged and very physically demanding, while other units are not as demanding.

All sheep hunts are by draw, with the exception of limited conservation permits that go to the highest bidder. We can make arrangements to bid on these tags if you are interested. These tags typically go for $20,000 to $35,000 locally and will go much higher nationally, $55,000 to $72,000.

There is also a guaranteed rocky mountain bighorn permit on the Ute - Ouray Indian Reservation. We have worked closely with the Ute Tribe and have guided the past permits. It is a good hunt to harvest a ram scoring above 170. This permit will typically sell between $30,000 and $40,000. Contact us if you are interested.

Utah is home to some of the finest moose hunting in the west for the Shiras species. Several B&C moose are taken each year in Utah. With an expanding moose population the future is looking bright for continued success.

Utah has always been home to some truly awesome antelope, until recently it has been a well-kept secret. High scoring B&C bucks are found in some of the better units in the state. For both the moose and antelope, guaranteed permits are available from landowners and conservation permits to the highest bidder.

Utah is also home to one of only two free ranging buffalo herds in the USA. This hunt will test even the toughest of hunters. These big bulls will range from the peaks at over 11,000 feet to the desert floor; this hunt is truly an adventure! Utah also has an ever expanding mountain goat herd, there are exceptional billies harvested every year. These hunts will take you into some of the most scenic country you will ever see. Both bison and mtn. goat permits are available through the state draw and conservation permits are also available for both species.
